This is a great water aerobics class that encourages older adults to get up and move. It uses kickboards as resistance and is high energy, but low impact designed to get you moving!

Belt up and take a no-impact way to exercise. Join us for this progressively challenging, upbeat cardio resistance workout.

Shallow water class designed to keep those with arthritis active and mobile. There is little or no stress on the joints and the water temperature is just right!

Swimming Lessons                             

 

Preschool Lessons (Age 3-5)

Pike | Eel | Ray

Pike (Level 1) - Pike introduces new swimmers to the pool and helps them develop safe water habits in a fun and encouraging environment. Swimmers will focus on basic paddle stroke, kicking skills, blowing   bubbles in the water, front and back floats, and water safety.

Eel (Level 2) - Eel is designed for swimmers who are well adjusted to the water and have completed Pike skills. Eels continue to build on the basics learned in Pike, such as kicking and progressive paddle stroke. Students learn to float on their own and swim longer distances. Additionally, they will learn more about pool safety and develop their endurance. Prerequisites: Completion of Pike level or can swim independently on front, back, and side 5 feet and float independently on front and back for 5 seconds.

Ray (Level 3) - Ray is intended to allow swimmers a chance to begin developing endurance as well as improving stroke skills. Swimmers will be introduced to rhythmic breathing, front and back crawl, treading water, and rescue skills. Swimmers will also start learning the basics of elementary backstroke and breaststroke. Prerequisites: Completion of Eel level or can swim independently on front and back 15 feet and float independently on front and back for 20 feet.

School Age Lessons (Age 6-9)

Polliwogs | Guppies

Polliwog/Guppies - Beginner level for school age children to become acquainted with the water and begin to learn front, back and side strokes using instructional flotation devices.

Parent/Child Swim Lessons - 

Ages 6 months to 2 years 11 months.  This class is for children with little or no water experience.  The class includes safety entering the water, water adjustment and educational playtime.  Parent participation required.
